But if the animals were weaker, he did not set the branches there. So the weaker animals ended up belonging to Laban and the stronger animals to Jacob.

He recognized it and exclaimed, “It is my son’s tunic! A wild animal has eaten him! Joseph has surely been torn to pieces!”

But remember me when it goes well for you, and show me kindness. Make mention of me to Pharaoh and bring me out of this prison,

Joseph stored up a vast amount of grain, like the sand of the sea, until he stopped measuring it because it was impossible to measure.

“So now, please let your servant remain as my lord’s slave instead of the boy. As for the boy, let him go back with his brothers.

Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?” His brothers could not answer him because they were dumbfounded before him.

So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh. Each of the Egyptians sold his field, for the famine was severe. So the land became Pharaoh’s.

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

But the more the Egyptians oppressed them, the more they multiplied and spread. As a result the Egyptians loathed the Israelites,

The midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women – for the Hebrew women are vigorous; they give birth before the midwife gets to them!”

The Lord said to Aaron, “Go to the wilderness to meet Moses. So he went and met him at the mountain of God and greeted him with a kiss.

Pharaoh said to him, “Go from me! Watch out for yourself! Do not appear before me again, for when you see my face you will die!”

You are to tell your son on that day, ‘It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.’

Moses said to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you so that you do not sin.”

“If a man strikes the eye of his male servant or his female servant so that he destroys it, he will let the servant go free as compensation for the eye.

“I am going to send an angel before you to protect you as you journey and to bring you into the place that I have prepared.

“I will send my terror before you, and I will destroy all the people whom you encounter; I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.

and they saw the God of Israel. Under his feet there was something like a pavement made of sapphire, clear like the sky itself.

You are to join five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves. You are to double over the sixth curtain at the front of the tent.

You are to weave the tunic of fine linen and make the turban of fine linen, and make the sash the work of an embroiderer.
