The Amorite inhabitants of that area confronted you and chased you like a swarm of bees, striking you down from Seir as far as Hormah.

At that time we seized all his cities and put every one of them under divine judgment, including even the women and children; we left no survivors.

So the Lord our God did indeed give over to us King Og of Bashan and his whole army and we struck them down until not a single survivor was left.

And he revealed to you the covenant he has commanded you to keep, the ten commandments, writing them on two stone tablets.

When the Lord your God destroys the nations whose land he is about to give you and you dispossess them and settle in their cities and houses,

If the Lord your God enlarges your borders as he promised your ancestors and gives you all the land he pledged to them,
