This is the Moses who said to the Israelites, ‘God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers.’

“Look!” he said. “I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

Then he fell to his knees and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” When he had said this, he died.

saying, “Give me this power too, so that everyone I place my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”

Now as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Look, there is water! What is to stop me from being baptized?”

About three o’clock one afternoon he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God who came in and said to him, “Cornelius.”

So Peter invited them in and entertained them as guests. On the next day he got up and set out with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa accompanied him.

So when Peter came in, Cornelius met him, fell at his feet, and worshiped him.

you know what happened throughout Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John announced:

At that very moment, three men sent to me from Caesarea approached the house where we were staying.

But after the disciples had surrounded him, he got up and went back into the city. On the next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe.

Now some men came down from Judea and began to teach the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”

The jailer reported these words to Paul, saying, “The magistrates have sent orders to release you. So come out now and go in peace.”

because I am with you, and no one will assault you to harm you, because I have many people in this city.”

and said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They replied, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”
