And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.”

to James and his brother John, the sons of Zebedee, he gave the name Boanerges (that is, “sons of thunder”);

And as he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.

He also said to them, “A lamp isn’t brought to be put under a basket or under a bed, is it? Isn’t it to be placed on a lampstand?

He goes to sleep and gets up, night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.

So he got up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Be quiet! Calm down!” Then the wind stopped, and it was dead calm.

They were overwhelmed by fear and said to one another, “Who then is this? Even the wind and sea obey him!”

So he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis what Jesus had done for him, and all were amazed.

Then the woman, with fear and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before him and told him the whole truth.

He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”

Then, gently taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up.”

When it was already late, his disciples came to him and said, “This is an isolated place and it is already very late.

He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” When they found out, they said, “Five – and two fish.”

for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them: “Have courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.”

For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.’

He answered them, “You unbelieving generation! How much longer must I be with you? How much longer must I endure you? Bring him to me.”

Jesus asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.

John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him because he was not following us.”

Then Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”

Jesus looked at them and replied, “This is impossible for mere humans, but not for God; all things are possible for God.”
