Then one of the twelve, the one named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests

When it was evening, he took his place at the table with the twelve.

After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

But when he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he did not respond.

In the same way even the chief priests – together with the experts in the law and elders – were mocking him:

When some of the bystanders heard it, they said, “This man is calling for Elijah.”

And tombs were opened, and the bodies of many saints who had died were raised.

Now some of the experts in the law were sitting there, turning these things over in their minds:

So they came to the other side of the lake, to the region of the Gerasenes.

Then they asked Jesus to leave their region.

for she kept saying, “If only I touch his clothes, I will be healed.”

and they picked up the broken pieces and fish that were left over, twelve baskets full.

Now the Pharisees and some of the experts in the law who came from Jerusalem gathered around him.

Having no regard for the command of God, you hold fast to human tradition.”

They began to salute him: “Hail, king of the Jews!”

The inscription of the charge against him read, “The king of the Jews.”

When some of the bystanders heard it they said, “Listen, he is calling for Elijah!”

Now many have undertaken to compile an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us,

He will turn many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God.
