Then they said to him, “John’s disciples frequently fast and pray, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours continue to eat and drink.”

The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that will belong to me.’ So he divided his assets between them.

Then they said to him, “Who are you? Tell us so that we can give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”

So when the crowd realized that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and came to Capernaum looking for Jesus.

Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but he was born blind so that the acts of God may be revealed through what happens to him.

and I am glad for your sake that I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”

So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive it, so that your joy may be complete.

So Judas obtained a squad of soldiers and some officers of the chief priests and Pharisees. They came to the orchard with lanterns and torches and weapons.

so that they would search for God and perhaps grope around for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

so that the righteous requirement of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

If after all there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords),

So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living person”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised.

Or did I commit a sin by humbling myself so that you could be exalted, because I proclaimed the gospel of God to you free of charge?

So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who belong to the family of faith.

So then you are no longer foreigners and noncitizens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household,

Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, so that I too may be encouraged by hearing news about you.

Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you can rejoice and I can be free from anxiety.

We proclaim him by instructing and teaching all people with all wisdom so that we may present every person mature in Christ.
