She answered, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”

In those days there was another large crowd with nothing to eat. So Jesus called his disciples and said to them,

Sighing deeply in his spirit he said, “Why does this generation look for a sign? I tell you the truth, no sign will be given to this generation.”

When he learned of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you arguing about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Have your hearts been hardened?

He asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him, “You are the Christ.”

He answered them, “You unbelieving generation! How much longer must I be with you? How much longer must I endure you? Bring him to me.”

After he sat down, he called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”

Then Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”

Jesus looked at them and replied, “This is impossible for mere humans, but not for God; all things are possible for God.”

So they brought one, and he said to them, “Whose image is this, and whose inscription?” They replied, “Caesar’s.”

If David himself calls him ‘Lord,’ how can he be his son?” And the large crowd was listening to him with delight.

Now as Jesus was going out of the temple courts, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, look at these tremendous stones and buildings!”

Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’

Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth, today – this very night – before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”

Then they went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”

Then he came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn’t you stay awake for one hour?

When she saw Peter warming himself, she looked directly at him and said, “You also were with that Nazarene, Jesus.”

So Pilate asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” He replied, “You say so.”

But the worker answered him, ‘Sir, leave it alone this year too, until I dig around it and put fertilizer on it.

But even Moses revealed that the dead are raised in the passage about the bush, where he calls the Lord the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.
