Joseph said to his brothers, “Come closer to me,” so they came near. Then he said, “I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.

Joseph said to his father, “They are the sons God has given me in this place.” His father said, “Bring them to me so I may bless them.”

So Moses thought, “I will turn aside to see this amazing sight. Why does the bush not burn up?”

The Lord also said to him, “Put your hand into your robe.” So he put his hand into his robe, and when he brought it out – there was his hand, leprous like snow!

No! Go, you men only, and serve the Lord, for that is what you want.” Then Moses and Aaron were driven out of Pharaoh’s presence.

So now, forgive my sin this time only, and pray to the Lord your God that he would only take this death away from me.”

Instruct the people that each man and each woman is to request from his or her neighbor items of silver and gold.”

Do not eat it raw or boiled in water, but roast it over the fire with its head, its legs, and its entrails.

Moses said, “Do not leave us, because you know places for us to camp in the wilderness, and you could be our guide.

But if you are going to deal with me like this, then kill me immediately. If I have found favor in your sight then do not let me see my trouble.”

The Lord said, “Hear now my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known to him in a vision; I will speak with him in a dream.

So Aaron said to Moses, “O my lord, please do not hold this sin against us, in which we have acted foolishly and have sinned!

Please forgive the iniquity of this people according to your great loyal love, just as you have forgiven this people from Egypt even until now.”

And they came to Balaam and said to him, “Thus says Balak son of Zippor: ‘Please do not let anything hinder you from coming to me.

For I will honor you greatly, and whatever you tell me I will do. So come, put a curse on this nation for me.’”

Now therefore, please stay the night here also, that I may know what more the Lord might say to me.”

Balak said to Balaam, “Come, please; I will take you to another place. Perhaps it will please God to let you curse them for me from there.”

Let me please cross over to see the good land on the other side of the Jordan River – this good hill country and the Lebanon!”

the spies spotted a man leaving the city. They said to him, “If you show us a secret entrance into the city, we will reward you.”

He said to her, “Give me a little water to drink, because I’m thirsty.” She opened a goatskin container of milk and gave him some milk to drink. Then she covered him up again.
