Jehu ordered the one who was in charge of the wardrobe, “Bring out robes for all the servants of Baal.” So he brought out robes for them.

He ordered them, “This is what you must do. One third of the unit that is on duty during the Sabbath will guard the royal palace.

This is what you must do. One third of you priests and Levites who are on duty during the Sabbath will guard the doors.

“You say, ‘He is foam on the face of the waters; their portion of the land is cursed so that no one goes to their vineyard.

Make vows to the Lord your God and repay them! Let all those who surround him bring tribute to the awesome one!

Your eyes saw me when I was inside the womb. All the days ordained for me were recorded in your scroll before one of them came into existence.

For this reason the sovereign master, the Lord who commands armies, will make his healthy ones emaciated. His majestic glory will go up in smoke.

“‘As for you, my sheep, this is what the sovereign Lord says: Look, I am about to judge between one sheep and another, between rams and goats.

Now therefore reflect carefully on the recent past, before one stone was laid on another in the Lord’s temple.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven – only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.

They discussed with one another, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’

You will be hated by everyone because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Won’t God give justice to his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he delay long to help them?

But when the tenants saw him, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir; let’s kill him so the inheritance will be ours!’

This is the one about whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who is greater than I am, because he existed before me.’

The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (the one called Christ); “whenever he comes, he will tell us everything.”

And the one who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, because I always do those things that please him.”
