So every day Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, but at night he went and stayed on the Mount of Olives.

So Jesus said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’

Now it was during this time that Jesus went out to the mountain to pray, and he spent all night in prayer to God.

He went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers of the temple guard how he might betray Jesus, handing him over to them.

Then Jesus went out and made his way, as he customarily did, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him.

The women who had accompanied Jesus from Galilee followed, and they saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it.

Then they were all astonished at the mighty power of God.But while the entire crowd was amazed at everything Jesus was doing, he said to his disciples,

Jesus was going through the grain fields on a Sabbath, and his disciples picked some heads of wheat, rubbed them in their hands, and ate them.

Jesus said to another, “Follow me.” But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”

Then Levi gave a great banquet in his house for Jesus, and there was a large crowd of tax collectors and others sitting at the table with them.

and sent them to Jesus to ask, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?”

When one of those at the meal with Jesus heard this, he said to him, “Blessed is everyone who will feast in the kingdom of God!”

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear.

At that time, some Pharisees came up and said to Jesus, “Get away from here, because Herod wants to kill you.”

So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, because Jesus was going to pass that way.

And all those who knew Jesus stood at a distance, and the women who had followed him from Galilee saw these things.

Now at one point the Pharisees asked Jesus when the kingdom of God was coming, so he answered, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed,

When John’s messengers had gone, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

Then all the people of the Gerasenes and the surrounding region asked Jesus to leave them alone, for they were seized with great fear. So he got into the boat and left.

Jesus also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, ‘A rainstorm is coming,’ and it does.
