For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,

and said, “What will you give me to betray him into your hands?” So they set out thirty silver coins for him.

(Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I kiss is the man. Arrest him!”)

Then Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Other seed fell among the thorns, and they grew up and choked it, and it did not produce grain.

He said to them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those outside, everything is in parables,

Jesus called the twelve and began to send them out two by two. He gave them authority over the unclean spirits.

Immediately she hurried back to the king and made her request: “I want the head of John the Baptist on a platter immediately.”

Sighing deeply in his spirit he said, “Why does this generation look for a sign? I tell you the truth, no sign will be given to this generation.”

They said to him, “Permit one of us to sit at your right hand and the other at your left in your glory.”

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

and said, “By what authority are you doing these things? Or who gave you this authority to do these things?”

What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy those tenants and give the vineyard to others.

“But in those days, after that suffering, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light;

While they were eating, he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take it. This is my body.”

(Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I kiss is the man. Arrest him and lead him away under guard.”)

He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.

“So I tell you: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.

So the host who invited both of you will come and say to you, ‘Give this man your place.’ Then, ashamed, you will begin to move to the least important place.

The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that will belong to me.’ So he divided his assets between them.
