The Lord told Gad, David’s prophet,

So David went up as Gad instructed him to do in the name of the Lord.

The Lord confronted Manasseh and his people, but they paid no attention.

Then would I speak and not fear him, but it is not so with me.

But if only God would speak, if only he would open his lips against you,

“Refrain from talking with me so that I may speak; then let come to me what may.

“How long until you make an end of words? You must consider, and then we can talk.

Even youngsters have scorned me; when I get up, they scoff at me.

my lips will not speak wickedness, and my tongue will whisper no deceit.

I said to myself, ‘Age should speak, and length of years should make wisdom known.’

See now, I have opened my mouth; my tongue in my mouth has spoken.

“For God speaks, the first time in one way, the second time in another, though a person does not perceive it.

Pay attention, Job – listen to me; be silent, and I will speak.

If you have any words, reply to me; speak, for I want to justify you.

that Job speaks without knowledge and his words are without understanding.

I have spoken once, but I cannot answer; twice, but I will say no more.”

Will it make numerous supplications to you, will it speak to you with tender words?

Whoever lives a blameless life, does what is right, and speaks honestly.

The one true God completely vindicates me; he makes nations submit to me.

Then make sure you don’t speak evil words or use deceptive speech!
