Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “Why do we still need witnesses?

Then he began to curse, and he swore with an oath, “I do not know this man you are talking about!”

So Pilate asked them, “Do you want me to release the king of the Jews for you?”

They had been asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?”

These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages;

Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I have not had sexual relations with a man?”

as he promised to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.”

to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

And he added, “I tell you the truth, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.

“But I say to you who are listening: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

As they were walking along the road, someone said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.”

I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town!

But the expert, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

One of the experts in religious law answered him, “Teacher, when you say these things you insult us too.”

But Jesus said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or arbitrator between you two?”

Then Peter said, “Lord, are you telling this parable for us or for everyone?”

Thus Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God like? To what should I compare it?

“Exert every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

Nevertheless I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the next day, because it is impossible that a prophet should be killed outside Jerusalem.’

In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”
