So I told the exiles everything the Lord had shown me.

“Then they will know that I am the Lord when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them among foreign countries.

The inhabited towns will be left in ruins and the land will be devastated. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

You have not gone up in the breaks in the wall, nor repaired a wall for the house of Israel that it would stand strong in the battle on the day of the Lord.

I will make the land desolate because they have acted unfaithfully, declares the sovereign Lord.”

“‘After all of your evil – “Woe! Woe to you!” declares the sovereign Lord –

I will establish my covenant with you, and then you will know that I am the Lord.

Do I actually delight in the death of the wicked, declares the sovereign Lord? Do I not prefer that he turn from his wicked conduct and live?

For I take no delight in the death of anyone, declares the sovereign Lord. Repent and live!

I am the Lord your God; follow my statutes, observe my regulations, and carry them out.

Treat my Sabbaths as holy and they will be a reminder of our relationship, and then you will know that I am the Lord your God.”

And everyone will see that I, the Lord, have burned it; it will not be extinguished.’”

So I have poured my anger on them, and destroyed them with the fire of my fury. I hereby repay them for what they have done, declares the sovereign Lord.”

“For this is what the sovereign Lord says: Bring up an army against them and subject them to terror and plunder.

They will repay you for your obscene conduct, and you will be punished for idol worship. Then you will know that I am the sovereign Lord.”

The word of the Lord came to me in the ninth year, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month:

“‘Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: Woe to the city of bloodshed! I will also make the pile high.

In the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me:

and her daughters who are in the field will be slaughtered by the sword. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

I will bring terrors on you, and you will be no more! Though you are sought after, you will never be found again, declares the sovereign Lord.”
