The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and offering him sour wine,<n id="1" />

And he got up and followed him, leaving everything<n id="1" /> behind.<n id="2" />p>

Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?<n id="1" />

But<n id="1" /> they said to him, &#8216;Sir, he has ten minas already!&#8217;<n id="2" />

They<n id="1" /> were delighted<n id="2" /> and arranged to give him money.<n id="3" />

So<n id="1" /> they gave him a piece of broiled fish,

Watch<n id="1" /> yourselves! If<n id="2" /> your brother<n id="3" /> sins, rebuke him. If<n id="4" /> he repents, forgive him.

Jesus<n id="1" /> answered him,<n id="2" /> &#8220;It is written, &#8216;<b><i>You are to worshipi>b><n id="3" /> <b><i>the Lordi>b><n id="4" /> <b><i>your God and servei>b> only <b><i>himi>b>.&#8217;&#8221;<n id="5" />p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now<n id="1" /> there were some present on that occasion who told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.<n id="2" />

Then a slave girl,<n id="1" /> seeing him as he sat in the firelight, stared at him and said, &#8220;This man was with him too!&#8221;

But the other rebuked him, saying,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Don&#8217;t<n id="2" /> you fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?<n id="3" />

And all those who knew Jesus<n id="1" /> stood at a distance, and the women who had followed him from Galilee saw<n id="2" /> these things.p>

An<n id="1" /> angel of the Lord,<n id="2" /> standing on the right side of the altar of incense, appeared<n id="3" /> to him.

He went<n id="1" /> to be registered with Mary, who was promised in marriage to him,<n id="2" /> and who was expecting a child.

So<n id="1" /> when they had brought their boats to shore, they left everything and followed<n id="2" /> him.p>

Then<n id="1" /> two men, Moses and Elijah,<n id="2" /> began talking with him.<n id="3" />

Jesus<n id="1" /> said to him, &#8220;You have answered correctly;<n id="2" /> do this, and you will live.&#8221;p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now large crowds<n id="1" /> were accompanying Jesus,<n id="2" /> and turning to them he said,

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now all the tax collectors<n id="1" /> and sinners were coming<n id="2" /> to hear him.
