<p class="poetry">I hate and despise deceit;p> <p class="poetry">I love your law.p>

<p class="poetry">See the one who is pregnant with wickedness,p> <p class="poetry">who conceives destructive plans,p> <p class="poetry">and gives birth to harmful lies &#8211; <n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">A horse disappoints those who trust in it for victory;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">despite its great strength, it cannot deliver.p>

<p class="poetry">But those who are my enemies for no reason are numerous;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">those who hate me without cause outnumber me.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">You love evil more than good,p> <p class="poetry">lies more than speaking the truth.<n id="1" /> (Selah)p>

<p class="poetry">May the arrogant be humiliated, for they have slandered me!<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">But I meditate on your precepts.p>

<p class="poetry">Your precepts give me discernment.p> <p class="poetry">Therefore I hate all deceitful actions.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">You despise<n id="1" /> all who stray from your statutes,p> <p class="poetry">for they are deceptive and unreliable.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">I said,<n id="1" /> &#8220;O <sc>Lord,sc> rescue me<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">from those who lie with their lips<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">and those who deceive with their tongue.<n id="4" />p>

<p class="poetry">who speak lies,p> <p class="poetry">and make false promises.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">Do not turn me over to my enemies,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">for false witnesses who want to destroy me testify against me.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">May lying lips be silenced &#8211;p> <p class="poetry">lips<n id="1" /> that speak defiantly against the innocent<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">with arrogance and contempt!p>

<p class="poetry">Do not let those who are my enemies for no reason<n id="1" /> gloat<n id="2" /> over me!p> <p class="poetry">Do not let those who hate me without cause carry out their wicked schemes!<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">For they say cruel and deceptive things to me;p> <p class="poetry">they lie to me.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">Arrogant people smear my reputation with lies,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">but I observe your precepts with all my heart.p>

<p class="poetry">For this reason I carefully follow all your precepts.<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">I hate all deceitful actions.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">Grab me and rescue me from the power of foreigners,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">who speak lies,p> <p class="poetry">and make false promises.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">But the king<n id="1" /> will rejoice in God;p> <p class="poetry">everyone who takes oaths in his name<n id="2" /> will boast,p> <p class="poetry">for the mouths of those who speak lies will be shut up.<n id="3" />p>
