You will eat, not just one day, nor two days, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days,

When they came to the valley of Eshcol, they cut down from there a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they carried it on a staff<n id="1" /> between two men, as well as some of the pomegranates and the figs.

If you kill<n id="1" /> this entire people at once,<n id="2" /> then the nations that have heard of your fame will say,

One statute must apply<n id="1" /> to you who belong to the congregation and to the resident foreigner who is living among you, as a permanent<n id="2" /> statute for your future generations. You and the resident foreigner will be alike<n id="3" /> before the <sc>Lordsc>.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;But you must offer to the <sc>Lordsc> an offering made by fire, a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven lambs one year old; they must all be unblemished.<n id="1" />

But you must offer as the burnt offering, as a sweet aroma to the <sc>Lord,sc> two young bulls, one ram, seven lambs one year old,

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;On the first day of the seventh month, you are to hold a holy assembly. You must not do your ordinary work, for it is a day of blowing trumpets for you.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Whoever kills any person, the murderer must be put to death by the testimony<n id="1" /> of witnesses; but one witness cannot<n id="2" /> testify against any person to cause him to be put to death.

and they assembled<n id="1" /> the entire community together on the first day of the second month.<n id="2" /> Then the people recorded their ancestry<n id="3" /> by their clans and families, and the men who were twenty years old or older were listed<n id="4" /> by name individually,

They brought<n id="1" /> their offering before the <sc>Lordsc>, six covered carts<n id="2" /> and twelve oxen &#8211; one cart for every two of the leaders, and an ox for each one; and they presented them in front of the tabernacle.p>

If a resident foreigner lives<n id="1" /> among you and wants to keep<n id="2" /> the Passover to the <sc>Lordsc>, he must do so according to the statute of the Passover, and according to its custom. You must have<n id="3" /> the same<n id="4" /> statute for the resident foreigner<n id="5" /> and for the one who was born in the land.&#8217;&#8221;p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">But two men remained in the camp; one&#8217;s name was Eldad, and the other&#8217;s name was Medad. And the spirit rested on them. (Now they were among those in the registration,<n id="1" /> but had not gone to the tabernacle.) So they prophesied in the camp.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;You must exact<n id="1" /> a tribute for the <sc>Lordsc> from the fighting men who went out to battle: one life out of five hundred, from the people, the cattle, and from the donkeys and the sheep.

From the Israelites&#8217; half-share you are to take one portion out of fifty of the people, the cattle, the donkeys, and the sheep &#8211; from every kind of animal &#8211; and you are to give them to the Levites, who are responsible for the care of the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s tabernacle.&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">From the Israelites&#8217; share Moses took one of every fifty people and animals and gave them to the Levites who were responsible for the care of the Lord&#8217;s tabernacle, just as the <sc>Lordsc> commanded Moses.p>

Aaron the priest ascended Mount Hor at the command<n id="1" /> of the <sc>Lordsc>, and he died there in the fortieth year after the Israelites had come out of the land of Egypt on the first day of the fifth month.
