The magicians said ¹  to Pharaoh, “It is the finger ²  of God!” But Pharaoh’s heart remained hard, ³  and he did not listen to them, just as the Lord had predicted.

Pharaoh said, “I will release you ¹  so that you may sacrifice ²  to the Lord your God in the desert. Only you must not go very far. ³  Do ⁴  pray for me.”

“If a man borrows an animal ¹  from his neighbor, and it is hurt or dies when its owner was not with it, the man who borrowed it ²  will surely pay.

And the incense that you are to make, you must not make for yourselves using the same recipe; it is to be most holy to you, belonging to the Lord.

There was an opening in the center of the robe, like the opening of a collar, with an edge all around the opening so that it could not be torn.

If she does not please ¹  her master, who has designated her ²  for himself, then he must let her be redeemed. ³  He has no right ⁴  to sell her to a foreign nation, because he has dealt deceitfully ⁵  with her.

But against any of the Israelites not even a dog will bark ¹  against either people or animals, ²  so that you may know that the Lord distinguishes ³  between Egypt and Israel.’

You must set boundaries ¹  for the people all around, saying, ‘Take heed ²  to yourselves not to go up on the mountain nor touch its edge. Whoever touches the mountain will surely be put to death!

Be careful not to make ¹  a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it become a snare ²  among you.

You will not eat anything made with yeast; in all the places where you live you must eat bread made without yeast.’”

The Lord said ¹  to Moses, “When you go back to Egypt, ²  see that you ³  do before Pharaoh all the wonders I have put under your control. ⁴  But I will harden ⁵  his heart ⁶  and ⁷  he will not let the people go.

and the Lord turned a very strong west wind, ¹  and it picked up the locusts and blew them into the Red Sea. ²  Not one locust remained in all the territory of Egypt.

Every firstling ¹  of a donkey you must redeem ²  with a lamb, and if you do not redeem it, then you must break its neck. ³  Every firstborn of ⁴  your sons you must redeem.

He called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the contending of the Israelites and because of their testing the Lord, ¹  saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”

The Lord said to him, “Go, get down, and come up, and Aaron with you, but do not let the priests and the people force their way through to come up to the Lord, lest he break through against them.”

“You shall not make for yourself a carved image ¹  or any likeness ²  of anything ³  that is in heaven above or that is on the earth beneath or that is in the water below. ⁴ 

Or if it is known that the ox had the habit of goring, and its owner did not take the necessary precautions, he must surely pay ¹  ox for ox, and the dead animal will become his. ² 

The first of the firstfruits of your soil you must bring to the house of the Lord your God. “You must not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk. ¹ 

If any of the meat from the consecration offerings ¹  or any of the bread is left over ²  until morning, then you are to burn up ³  what is left over. It must not be eaten, ⁴  because it is holy.

Go up ¹  to a land flowing with milk and honey. But ²  I will not go up among you, for you are a stiff-necked people, and I might destroy you ³  on the way.”
