But when he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he did not respond.

In<n id="1" /> the same way even the chief priests &#8211; together with the experts in the law<n id="2" /> and elders<n id="3" /> &#8211; were mocking him:<n id="4" />

After<n id="1" /> they had assembled with the elders and formed a plan, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,

&#8220;Why do your disciples disobey the tradition of the elders? For they don&#8217;t wash their<n id="1" /> hands when they eat.&#8221;<n id="2" />
