Ezekiel 4:13

4:13 And the Lord said, “This is how the people of Israel will eat their unclean food among the nations ¹  where I will banish them.”

Daniel 1:8

1:8 But Daniel made up his mind ²  that he would not defile ³  himself with the royal delicacies or the royal wine. ⁴  He therefore asked the overseer of the court officials for permission not to defile himself.

Acts 10:14

10:14 But Peter said, “Certainly not, Lord, for I have never eaten anything defiled and ritually unclean!” ⁵ 

[4:13]  ¹ sn Unclean food among the nations. Lands outside of Israel were considered unclean (Josh 22:19; Amos 7:17).

[1:8]  ⁴ tn Heb “with the delicacies of the king and with the wine of his drinking.”

[10:14]  ⁵ tn Possibly there is a subtle distinction in meaning between κοινός (koinos) and ἀκάθαρτος (akaqarto") here, but according to L&N 53.39 it is difficult to determine precise differences in meaning based on existing contexts.
