Context20:45 As 16 all the people were listening, Jesus 17 said to his disciples, 20:46 “Beware 18 of the experts in the law. 19 They 20 like walking around in long robes, and they love elaborate greetings 21 in the marketplaces and the best seats 22 in the synagogues 23 and the places of honor at banquets. 20:47 They 24 devour 25 widows’ property, 26 and as a show make long prayers. They will receive a more severe punishment.”
