[102:12]  ¹ tn Heb “sit” (i.e., sit enthroned, see Ps 9:7). The imperfect verbal form highlights the generalization.

[102:12]  ² tn Heb “and your remembrance [is] for a generation and a generation.”

[12:5]  ³ tn Heb “[is] his memorial name” (so ASV); TEV “the name by which he is to be worshipped.”

[4:5]  ⁴ tn Heb “walk each in the name of his god.” The term “name” here has the idea of “authority.” To “walk in the name” of a god is to recognize the god’s authority as binding over one’s life.

[4:5]  ⁵ tn Heb “walk in the name of.”

[3:6]  ⁶ tn Heb “do not change.” This refers to God’s ongoing commitment to his covenant promises to Israel.
