• [Psa 68:1] Let God Arise, And By His Might

  Let God arise, and by His might Let all His foes be put to flight; But O ye righteous, gladly sing, Exult before your God and King. Jehovah’s praises sound abroad Rejoice before the living God; Prepare the way that He may come And make the desert places bloom. A Father of the fatherless, A judge of widows in distress Is God, the God of boundless grace, Who dwells within His holy place. God frees the captive and He sends The blessedness of home and friends, And only those in darkness stay Who will not trust Him and obey. O Zion, ’tis thy God’s command That thou in strength securely stand; O God, confirm and strengthen still, Thy purposes in us fulfill. O Thou, whose glorious temple stands In Zion, famed through heathen lands, Kings shall Thy power and glory see, And bring their presents unto Thee. Thou wilt rebuke the fierce and strong Who hate the right and choose the wrong, And scatter those who peace abhor, The nations that delight in war. • [Psa 68:1] Let God Arise In All His Might

  Let God arise in all His might, And put the troops of hell to flight, As smoke that sought to cloud the skies Before the rising tempest flies. He comes arrayed in burning flames, Justice and Vengeance are His names; Behold His fainting foes expire, Like melting wax before the fire. He rides and thunders through the sky, His Name, Jehovah, sounds on high; Sing to His Name, ye sons of grace; Ye saints, rejoice before His face. The widow and the fatherless Fly to His aid in sharp distress; In Him the poor and helpless find A Judge that’s just, a Father kind. He breaks the captive’s heavy chain, And prisoners see the light again; But rebels that dispute His will Shall dwell in chains and darkness still. Kingdoms and thrones to God belong; Crown Him, ye nations, in your song: His wondrous names and powers rehearse; His honors shall enrich your verse. He shakes the heav’ns with loud alarms; How terrible is God in arms! In Israel are His mercies known, Israel is His peculiar throne. Proclaim Him King, pronounce Him blest; He’s your Defense, your Joy, your Rest: When terrors rise and nations faint, God is the Strength of every saint.

  Let God arise to lead forth those Who march to war! Let God arise, and all His foes Be scattered far! So Israel prayed, and Thou, O Lord, Wast with him then: Be with us now, who draw the sword For war again. Grant Thou our soldiers courage high When foes are near, To strive, to suffer, or to die Untouched by fear. Grant strength to those who mourn today Their loved ones lost, Yea, those who give their best, nor stay To count the cost. Fight Thou for us, that we may fill Thy courts with praise; Then teach us mercy, teach us still The fallen to raise. • [Rev 6:16] I Dreamed That The Great Judgment Morning

  I dreamed that the great judgment morning Had dawned, and the trumpet had blown; I dreamed that the nations had gathered To judgment before the white throne; From the throne came a bright shining angel, And he stood on the land and the sea, And he swore with his hand raised to Heaven, That time was no longer to be. Refrain And O, what a weeping and wailing, As the lost were told of their fate; They cried for the rocks and the mountains, They prayed, but their prayer was too late. The rich man was there, but his money Had melted and vanished away; A pauper he stood in the judgment, His debts were too heavy to pay; The great man was there, but his greatness, When death came, was left far behind! The angel that opened the records, Not a trace of his greatness could find. Refrain The widow was there with the orphans, God heard and remembered their cries; No sorrow in Heaven forever, God wiped all the tears from their eyes; The gambler was there and the drunkard, And the man that had sold them the drink, With the people who gave him the license, Together in hell they did sink. Refrain The moral man came to the judgment, But self righteous rags would not do; The men who had crucified Jesus Had passed off as moral men, too; The soul that had put off salvation, “Not tonight; I’ll get saved by and by, No time now to think of religion!” At last they had found time to die. • [Rev 6:16] Lift Your Heads

  Lift your heads, ye friends of Jesus, Partners in His sufferings here; Christ, to all believers precious, Lord of lords, shall soon appear: Mark the tokens of His heavenly kingdom near! Close behind the tribulation Of the last tremendous days, See the flaming revelation, See the universal blaze! Earth and heaven melt before the Judge’s face! Sun and moon are both confounded, Darkened into endless night, When, with angel hosts surrounded, In His Father’s glory bright, Christ the Savior shines, the everlasting Light. See the stars from Heaven falling, Hark on earth the doleful cry, Men on rocks and mountains calling, While the glorious Judge draws nigh, “Hide us, hide us, rocks and mountains, from His eye!” With what different exclamation Shall the saints His banner see! By the tokens of His passion, By the marks received for me, All discern Him, all with shouts cry out, “’Tis He!” Lo! ’tis He! Our hearts’ Desire, Come for His espoused below, Come to join us to His choir, Come to make our joys overflow, Palms of victory, crowns of glory to bestow. Yes, the prize shall now be given, We His open face shall see; Love, the earnest of our heaven, Love, our full reward shall be; Love shall crown us kings through all eternity!
