John 19:17

• Jurus'lamat Dunia [KJ.165]

  1. Jurus'lamat dunia, walau tak bersalah, bagai maling disergap pada waktu malam dan dihina, dicela didepan mahkamah, diludahi, dicerca oleh kaum ulama.	Luk 22:47-53 Luk 22:63-71

  My soul is sad and much dismayed; See, Lord, what legions of my foes, With fierce Apollyon at their head, My heav’nly pilgrimage oppose! See, from the over-burning lake How like a smoky cloud they rise! With horrid blasts my soul they shake, With storms of blasphemies and lies. Their fiery arrows reach the mark, My throbbing heart with anguish tear; Each lights upon a kindred spark, And finds abundant fuel there. • [Rev 9:11] Our Earth We Now Lament To See

  Our earth we now lament to see With floods of wickedness overflowed, With violence, wrong, and cruelty, The killing fields our constant abode, Where men like fiends each other tear, In all the hellish rage of war. As listed on Abaddon’s side, They mangle their own flesh, and slay: Tophet is moved, and opens wide Its mouth for its enormous prey; And myriads sink beneath the grave, And plunge into the flaming wave. O might the universal Friend This havoc of His creatures see! Bid our unnatural discord end; Declare us reconciled in Thee; Write kindness on our inward parts, And chase the murderer from our hearts!   Here at Bethesda’s pool, the poor, The withered, halt, and blind; With waiting hearts expect a cure, And free admittance find. Here streams of wondrous virtue flow To heal a sin-sick soul; To wash the filthy white as snow, And make the wounded whole. The dumb break forth in songs of praise, The blind their sight receive; The cripple runs in wisdom’s ways, The dead revive, and live! Restrained to no one case, or time, These waters always move; Sinners, in every age and clime, Their vital influence prove. Yet numbers daily near them lie, Who meet with no relief; With life in view they pine and die In hopeless unbelief. ’Tis strange they should refuse to bathe, And yet frequent the pool; But none can even wish for faith, While love of sin bears rule. Satan their consciences has sealed, And stupefied their thought; For were they willing to be healed, The cure would soon be wrought. Do Thou, dear Savior, interpose, Their stubborn wills constrain; Or else to them the water flows, And grace is preached in vain.

• [Joh 19:17] Let Me Dwell On Golgotha

  Let me dwell on Golgotha, Weep and love my life away! While I see Him on the tree Weep and bleed, and die for me! That dear blood, for sinners spilt, Shows my sin in all its guilt: Ah, my soul, He bore thy load, Thou hast slain the Lamb of God. Hark! His dying words; “Forgive, Father, let the sinner live; Sinner, wipe thy tears away, I thy ransom freely pay.” While I hear this grace revealed, And obtain a pardon sealed; All my lost affections move, Wakened by the force of love. Farewell world, thy gold is dross, Now I see the bleeding cross; Jesus died to set me free From the law, and sin, and thee! He has dearly bought my soul Lord, accept, and claim the whole! To Thy will I all resign, Now, no more my own, but Thine.

  Stretched on the cross, the Savior dies, Hark! His expiring groans arise; See, how the sacred crimson tide Flows from His hands, His feet, His side. To suffer in the traitor’s place, To die for man—surprising grace! Yet pass rebellious angels by— O why for man, dear Savior, why? And didst Thou bleed? for sinners bleed? And could the sun behold the deed? No! he withdrew his sickening ray, And darkness veiled the mourning day. • [Act 26:14] I Hear A Voice That Comes From Far

  I hear a voice that comes from far; From Calvary it sounds abroad; It soothes my soul, and calms my fear; It speaks of pardon bought with blood. And is it true, that many fly The sound that bids my soul rejoice; And rather choose in sin to die, Than turn an ear to mercy’s voice! Alas for those! The day is near, When mercy will be heard no more; Then will they ask in vain to hear The voice they would not hear before. With such, I own, I once appeared, But now I know how great their loss; For sweeter sounds were never heard Than mercy utters from the cross. But let me not forget to own, That if I differ aught from those, ’Tis due to sovereign grace alone, That oft selects its proudest foes.
