Paltiel
[ebd] deliverance of God, the prince of Issachar who assisted "to divide the land by inheritance" (Num. 34:26).
[isbe] PALTIEL - pal'-ti-el (palTi'el, "God's deliverance"): (1) A prince of Isaachar (Nu 34:26). (2) Same as PALTI, (2) (which see).
[smith] (whom God delivers), the son of Azzan and prince of the tribe of Issachar. (Numbers 34:26) He was one of the twelve appointed to divide the land of Canaan among the tribes west of Jordan. (B.C. 1450.)
