How could God allow so many to die on the Titanic?

We really do not have the answers to such disasters. Such have occurred throughout history. Much of it is simply because we live in a sinful world because of the fall of the human race as described in Genesis 3. This disasters occurred not because God was any more angry with these people than anyone else. We are all sinners and saved only by the grace of God. Some of those who drowned were saved, that is, they knew Christ as their personal Savior and they were taken into God's presence. Others were not saved spiritually, and we can only rest in God's wisdom and sovereignty in such things.

I am sure that there were those who were praying for their loved as they took that journey, but for reasons beyond our understanding, God had other plans and purposes and allowed this to happen. We can know however, that while all things are not goodand many are terrible from our viewpointGod is able to work all things together for good (Rom. 8:28). Our need is to simply rest in His grace and wisdom.

We do know that God loves the world and He gave His Son for us. But the Bible calls upon men to respond to that good news. This is why we need to be good witnesses of the Savior and trust the Lord to lead us to those whose hearts He has prepared. It is good to see your compassion and concern.
