Gerasene : the inhabitants of the town (and region) of Gadara/Gerasa

Jairus : a synagogue official whose daughter was healed by Jesus

James : a son of Zebedee; brother of John; an apostle,a son of Alpheus; an apostle,a brother of Jesus; writer of the epistle of James,the father (or brother) of the apostle Judas

John : a son of Zebedee; younger brother of James; the beloved disciple of Christ,a relative of Annas the high priest,a son of Mary the sister of Barnabas, and surnamed Mark,the father of Simon Peter

Peter : a man who was a leader among the twelve apostles and wrote the two epistles of Peter
