CHEZIB, Birthplace of Shelah, Gen.38:5, probably identical with Chozeba, 1 Chr. 4:22, and Achzib, Josh. 15:44.

deceitful, a town where Shelah, the son of Judah, was born (Gen. 38:5). Probably the same as Achzib (q.v.).

CHEZIB [smith]

(lying), a name which occurs but once, (Genesis 38:5) probably the same as ACHZIB.
