- Father of ancestor of Joab, a Gershonite in the reign of Hezekiah. (2Â Chronicles 29:12) (B.C. before 726.) At a much earlier period we find the same collocation of names, Zimmah and Joah as father and son. (1Â Chronicles 6:20)
