Pissasphalt, n. [L. pissasphaltus, Gr. ; pitch + asphalt: cf. F. pissasphalte.].
Earth pitch; a soft, black bitumen of the consistency of tar, and of a strong smell. It is inflammable, and intermediate between petroleum and asphalt. [1913 Webster]
