sesban, n. [F., fr. Ar. saisabān, seisebān, a kind of tree, fr. Per. sīsabān seed of cinquefoil.].

A leguminous shrub (Sesbania aculeata) which furnishes a fiber used for making ropes. [1913 Webster]
