verrugas, n. [Sp., warts. Cf. Verruca.].
An endemic disease occurring in the Andes in Peru, characterized by warty tumors which ulcerate and bleed. It is probably due to a special bacillus, and is often fatal. [Webster 1913 Suppl.]
