[1:53]  1 tn The parallel genealogy in Gen 36:42 has the variant spelling “Temam.”

[4:13]  2 tc “Meonothai” is read here by some mss of the LXX, along with the Vulgate. The name apparently was dropped from the Hebrew text by haplography. Note that the name appears at the beginning of the next verse as well.

[1:36]  3 tc Many medieval Hebrew mss, along with some LXX mss and the Syriac, read “Zepho” (see Gen 36:11).

[1:36]  4 tn The Hebrew text has simply, “and Timna and Amalek,” but Gen 36:12 indicates that Timna, a concubine of Eliphaz, was the mother of Amalek. See also v. 39 below, which states that Timna was the sister of Lotan.

[4:15]  4 tn Heb “and the sons of Elah and Kenaz.” Kenaz was actually the son of Elah.
