11:3 When all the leaders 1  of Israel came to the king at Hebron, David made an agreement 2  with them in Hebron before the Lord. They anointed 3  David king over Israel, just as the Lord had announced through Samuel. 4

14:8 When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed 5  king of all Israel, all the Philistines marched up to confront him. 6  When David heard about it, he marched out against 7  them.
