11:3 When all the leaders 2  of Israel came to the king at Hebron, David made an agreement 3  with them in Hebron before the Lord. They anointed 4  David king over Israel, just as the Lord had announced through Samuel. 5

14:8 When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed 6  king of all Israel, all the Philistines marched up to confront him. 7  When David heard about it, he marched out against 8  them.
