1 Chronicles 4:41

4:41 The men whose names are listed came during the time of King Hezekiah of Judah and attacked the Hamites’ settlements, 1  as well as the Meunites they discovered there, and they wiped them out to this very day. They dispossessed them, 2  for they found pasture for their sheep there.

5:24 These were the leaders of their families: 3

22:8 But the Lord said to me: 17  ‘You have spilled a great deal of blood and fought many battles. You must not build a temple to honor me, 18  for you have spilled a great deal of blood on the ground before me. 22:9 Look, you will have a son, who will be a peaceful man. 19  I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side. 20  Indeed, Solomon 21  will be his name; I will give Israel peace and quiet during his reign. 22

22:19 Now seek the Lord your God wholeheartedly and with your entire being! 23  Get up and build the sanctuary of the Lord God! Then you can bring 24  the ark of the Lord’s covenant and the holy items dedicated to God’s service 25  into the temple that is built to honor the Lord.” 26

Aaron and Moses.

Aaron and his descendants were chosen on a permanent basis to consecrate the most holy items, to offer sacrifices before the Lord, to serve him, and to praise his name. 27

23:24 These were the descendants of Levi according to their families, that is, the leaders of families as counted and individually listed who carried out assigned tasks in the Lord’s temple and were twenty years old and up. 28
