1 Chronicles 7:15-16

7:15 Now Makir married a wife from the Huppites and Shuppites. ¹  (His sister’s name was Maacah.)

Zelophehad was Manasseh’s second son; ²  he had only daughters.

7:16 Maacah, Makir’s wife, gave birth to a son, whom she named Peresh. His brother was Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rekem.

27:16 The officers of the Israelite tribes:

Eliezer son of Zikri was the leader of the Reubenites,

Shephatiah son of Maacah led the Simeonites,

[7:15]  ¹ tn Some translations treat the terms שֻׁפִּים (shuppim) and חֻפִּים (khuppim) as proper names of individuals (“Huppim” and “Shuppim”), but others consider these forms to be plurals and refer to tribal or clan names.

[7:15]  ² tn Heb “and the name of the second was Zelophehad.”
