1:27 Has my master the king authorized this without informing your servants ¹  who should succeed my master the king on his throne?” ² 

1 Kings 12:24

12:24 ‘The Lord says this: “Do not attack and make war with your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you go home, for I have caused this to happen.”’” ³  They obeyed the Lord and went home as the Lord had ordered them to do. ⁴ 

[1:27]  ¹ tc Many Hebrew mss and ancient textual witnesses agree with the Qere in reading this as singular, “your servant.”

[1:27]  ² tn Heb “From my master the king is this thing done, and you did not make known to your servants who will sit on the throne of my master the king after him?”

[12:24]  ³ tn Heb “for this thing is from me.”

[12:24]  ⁴ tn Heb “and they heard the word of the Lord and returned to go according to the word of the Lord.”
