1 Kings 10:21

10:21 All of King Solomon’s cups were made of gold, and all the household items in the Palace of the Lebanon Forest were made of pure gold. There were no silver items, for silver was not considered very valuable in Solomon’s time. ¹ 

1 Kings 21:29

21:29 “Have you noticed how Ahab shows remorse ²  before me? Because he shows remorse before me, I will not bring disaster on his dynasty during his lifetime, but during the reign of his son.” ³ 

[10:21]  ¹ tn Heb “there was no silver, it was not regarded as anything in the days of Solomon.”

[21:29]  ² tn Or “humbles himself.” The expression occurs a second time later in this verse.

[21:29]  ³ tn Heb “I will not bring the disaster during his days, [but] in the days of his son I will bring the disaster on his house.”
