1 Kings 14:2

14:2 Jeroboam told his wife, “Disguise ¹  yourself so that people cannot recognize you are Jeroboam’s wife. Then go to Shiloh; Ahijah the prophet, who told me I would rule over this nation, lives there. ² 

1 Kings 14:13

14:13 All Israel will mourn him and bury him. He is the only one in Jeroboam’s family ³  who will receive a decent burial, for he is the only one in whom the Lord God of Israel found anything good.

1 Kings 15:29

15:29 When he became king, he executed Jeroboam’s entire family. He wiped out everyone who breathed, ⁴  just as the Lord had predicted ⁵  through his servant Ahijah the Shilonite.

[14:2]  ² tn Heb “look, Ahijah the prophet is there, he told me [I would be] king over this nation.”

[15:29]  ⁵ tn Heb “and when he became king, he struck down all the house of Jeroboam; he did not leave any breath to Jeroboam until he destroyed him.”

[15:29]  ⁶ tn Heb “according to the word of the Lord which he spoke.”
