1 Kings 2:3

2:3 Do the job the Lord your God has assigned you ¹  by following his instructions ²  and obeying ³  his rules, commandments, regulations, and laws as written in the law of Moses. Then you will succeed in all you do and seek to accomplish, ⁴ 

1 Kings 5:9

5:9 My servants will bring the timber down from Lebanon to the sea. I will send it by sea in raft-like bundles to the place you designate. ⁵  There I will separate the logs ⁶  and you can carry them away. In exchange you will supply the food I need for my royal court.” ⁷ 

1 Kings 21:2

21:2 Ahab said to Naboth, “Give me your vineyard so I can make a vegetable garden out of it, for it is adjacent to my palace. I will give you an even better vineyard in its place, or if you prefer, ⁸  I will pay you silver for it.” ⁹

[5:9]  ⁵ tn Heb “I will place them [on? as?] rafts in the sea to the place where you designate to me.” This may mean he would send them by raft, or that he would tie them in raft-like bundles, and have ships tow them down to an Israelite port.

[5:9]  ⁷ tn Heb “as for you, you will satisfy my desire by giving food for my house.”
