1 Kings 2:32
Context2:32 May the Lord punish him for the blood he shed; 1 behind my father David’s back he struck down and murdered with the sword two men who were more innocent and morally upright than he 2 – Abner son of Ner, commander of Israel’s army, and Amasa son of Jether, commander of Judah’s army.

Context3:6 Solomon replied, “You demonstrated 3 great loyalty to your servant, my father David, as he served 4 you faithfully, properly, and sincerely. 5 You have maintained this great loyalty to this day by allowing his son to sit on his throne. 6

Context8:25 Now, O Lord, God of Israel, keep the promise you made to your servant, my father David, when you said, ‘You will never fail to have a successor ruling before me on the throne of Israel, 7 provided that your descendants watch their step and serve me as you have done.’ 8
