1 Kings 2:4

2:4 and the Lord will fulfill his promise to me, ¹  ‘If your descendants watch their step ²  and live faithfully in my presence ³  with all their heart and being, ⁴  then,’ he promised, ⁵  ‘you will not fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’ ⁶ 

1 Kings 9:5

9:5 Then I will allow your dynasty to rule over Israel permanently, ⁷  just as I promised your father David, ‘You will not fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’ ⁸ 

1 Kings 13:4

13:4 When the king heard what the prophet ⁹  cried out against the altar in Bethel, Jeroboam, standing at the altar, extended his hand ¹⁰  and ordered, ¹¹  “Seize him!” The hand he had extended shriveled up ¹²  and he could not pull it back.

1 Kings 14:15

14:15 The Lord will attack Israel, making it like a reed that sways in the water. ¹³  He will remove Israel from this good land he gave to their ancestors ¹⁴  and scatter them beyond the Euphrates River, ¹⁵  because they angered the Lord by making Asherah poles. ¹⁶
