Context
The Lord Gives Solomon Wisdom

3:1 Solomon made an alliance by marriage with Pharaoh, king of Egypt; he married Pharaoh’s daughter. He brought her to the City of David 1  until he could finish building his residence and the temple of the Lord and the wall around Jerusalem. 2 

1 Kings 4:7

Context

4:7 Solomon had twelve district governors appointed throughout Israel who acquired supplies for the king and his palace. Each was responsible for one month in the year.

9:15 Here are the details concerning the work crews 3  King Solomon conscripted 4  to build the Lord’s temple, his palace, the terrace, the wall of Jerusalem, 5  and the cities of 6  Hazor, 7  Megiddo, 8  and Gezer.

16:7 The prophet Jehu son of Hanani received from the Lord the message predicting the downfall of Baasha and his family because of all the evil Baasha had done in the sight of the Lord. 9  His actions angered the Lord (including the way he had destroyed Jeroboam’s dynasty), so that his family ended up like Jeroboam’s. 10

Context

21:4 So Ahab went into his palace, bitter and angry that Naboth the Jezreelite had said, 11  “I will not sell to you my ancestral inheritance.” 12  He lay down on his bed, pouted, 13  and would not eat.

21:29 “Have you noticed how Ahab shows remorse 14  before me? Because he shows remorse before me, I will not bring disaster on his dynasty during his lifetime, but during the reign of his son.” 15
