1 Kings 3:3

3:3 Solomon demonstrated his loyalty to the Lord by following ¹  the practices ²  of his father David, except that he offered sacrifices and burned incense on the high places.

1 Kings 2:3

2:3 Do the job the Lord your God has assigned you ³  by following his instructions ⁴  and obeying ⁵  his rules, commandments, regulations, and laws as written in the law of Moses. Then you will succeed in all you do and seek to accomplish, ⁶

6:12 “As for this temple you are building, if you follow ⁷  my rules, observe ⁸  my regulations, and obey all my commandments, ⁹  I will fulfill through you the promise I made to your father David. ¹⁰

1 Kings 11:33-34

11:33 I am taking the kingdom from him ¹⁴  because they have ¹⁵  abandoned me and worshiped the Sidonian goddess Astarte, the Moabite god Chemosh, and the Ammonite god Milcom. They have not followed my instructions ¹⁶  by doing what I approve and obeying my rules and regulations, like Solomon’s father David did. ¹⁷  11:34 I will not take the whole kingdom from his hand. I will allow him to be ruler for the rest of his life for the sake of my chosen servant David who kept my commandments and rules.

1 Kings 11:38

11:38 You must obey ¹⁸  all I command you to do, follow my instructions, ¹⁹  do what I approve, ²⁰  and keep my rules and commandments, like my servant David did. Then I will be with you and establish for you a lasting dynasty, as I did for David; ²¹  I will give you Israel.
