6:36 He built the inner courtyard with three rows of chiseled stones and a row of cedar beams.

1 Kings 7:2

7:2 He named ²  it “The Palace of the Lebanon Forest”; ³  it was 150 feet ⁴  long, 75 feet ⁵  wide, and 45 feet ⁶  high. It had four rows of cedar pillars and cedar beams above the pillars.

1 Kings 6:10

6:10 He built an extension all around the temple; it was seven and a half feet high ⁷  and it was attached to the temple by cedar beams.

1 Kings 6:16

6:16 He built a wall 30 feet in from the rear of the temple as a partition for an inner sanctuary that would be the most holy place. ⁸  He paneled the wall with cedar planks from the floor to the rafters. ⁹ 

1 Kings 7:12

7:12 Around the great courtyard were three rows of chiseled stones and one row of cedar beams, like the inner courtyard of the Lord’s temple and the hall of the palace. ¹⁰ 

1 Kings 5:6

5:6 So now order some cedars of Lebanon to be cut for me. My servants will work with your servants. I will pay your servants whatever you say is appropriate, for you know that we have no one among us who knows how to cut down trees like the Sidonians.”

5:8 Hiram then sent this message to Solomon: “I received ¹¹  the message you sent to me. I will give you all the cedars and evergreens you need. ¹² 

1 Kings 6:15

6:15 He constructed the walls inside the temple with cedar planks; he paneled the inside with wood from the floor of the temple to the rafters ¹³  of the ceiling. He covered the temple floor with boards made from the wood of evergreens.

1 Kings 9:11

9:11 King Solomon gave King Hiram of Tyre ¹⁴  twenty cities in the region of Galilee, because Hiram had supplied Solomon with cedars, evergreens, and all the gold he wanted.

[7:2]  ³ sn The Palace of the Lebanon Forest. This name was appropriate because of the large amount of cedar, undoubtedly brought from Lebanon, used in its construction. The cedar pillars in the palace must have given it the appearance of a forest.

[7:2]  ⁶ tn Heb “thirty cubits.”

[6:10]  ³ tn Heb “five cubits.” This must refer to the height of each floor or room.
