The Lord Gives Solomon a Promise and a Warning

9:1 After Solomon finished building the Lord’s temple, the royal palace, and all the other construction projects he had planned, ⁵

[5:18]  ² tn Heb “the Gebalites.” The reading is problematic and some emend to a verb form meaning, “set the borders.”

[5:18]  ³ tc The LXX includes the words “for three years.”

[8:18]  ⁴ tn Heb “Because it was with your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was with your heart.”

[9:1]  ⁷ tn Heb “and all the desire of Solomon which he wanted to do.”
