1 Kings 21:2
Context21:2 Ahab said to Naboth, “Give me your vineyard so I can make a vegetable garden out of it, for it is adjacent to my palace. I will give you an even better vineyard in its place, or if you prefer, 4 I will pay you silver for it.” 5

[5:9] 1 tn Heb “I will place them [on? as?] rafts in the sea to the place where you designate to me.” This may mean he would send them by raft, or that he would tie them in raft-like bundles, and have ships tow them down to an Israelite port.
[5:9] 2 tn Heb “smash them,” i.e., untie the bundles.
[5:9] 3 tn Heb “as for you, you will satisfy my desire by giving food for my house.”
[21:2] 4 tn Heb “if it is good in your eyes.”
[21:2] 5 tc The Old Greek translation includes the following words: “And it will be mine as a garden of herbs.”
