6:24 Each of the first cherub’s wings was seven and a half feet long; its entire wingspan was 15 feet. ¹

[6:24]  ¹ tn Heb “The first wing of the [one] cherub was five cubits, and the second wing of the cherub was five cubits, ten cubits from the tips of his wings to the tips of his wings.”

[7:10]  ² tn Heb “stones of ten cubits and stones of eight cubits” (it is unclear exactly what dimension is being measured). If both numbers refer to the length of the stones (cf. NCV, CEV, NLT), then perhaps stones of two different sizes were used in some alternating pattern.

[6:23]  ³ tn Heb “ten cubits” (a cubit was a unit of measure roughly equivalent to 18 inches or 45 cm).

[7:19]  ⁴ tn Heb “the capitals which were on the top of the pillars were the work of lilies, in the porch, four cubits.” It is unclear exactly what dimension is being measured.

[7:16]  ⁵ tn Heb “two capitals he made to place on the tops of the pillars, cast in bronze; five cubits was the height of the first capital, and five cubits was the height of the second capital.”

[6:10]  ⁶ tn Heb “five cubits.” This must refer to the height of each floor or room.

[2:30]  ⁷ tn Heb “saying, “In this way Joab spoke and in this way he answered me.”
