1 Kings 8:18-19

8:18 The Lord told my father David, ‘It is right for you to have a strong desire to build a temple to honor me. ¹  8:19 But you will not build the temple; your very own son will build the temple for my honor.’ ² 

1 Kings 5:5

5:5 So I have decided ³  to build a temple to honor the Lord ⁴  my God, as the Lord instructed my father David, ‘Your son, whom I will put on your throne in your place, is the one who will build a temple to honor me.’ ⁵ 

1 Kings 9:7

9:7 then I will remove Israel from the land ⁶  I have given them, I will abandon this temple I have consecrated with my presence, ⁷  and Israel will be mocked and ridiculed ⁸  among all the nations.
